Edward Lear (12 May 1812 - 29 January 1888) was an English artist, illustrator, musician, author and poet, who is known mostly for his literary nonsense in poetry and prose and especially his limericks, a form he popularized, among the most notable, The Owl and the Pussy Cat. Composer Roy Moore has made a delightful setting to display in music the limericks of Lear's poetry. Since the essence of this piece dwells mainly on the words, the limericks are presented in full. SATB Chorus parts are included with the score and parts.
